Juanita Silva

Juanita is an Advisor to Groundswell, a joint project by the Bezos Earth Fund, Global Optimism, and the Systems Change Lab. Groundswell supports a diverse and distributed chorus of voices to shape a narrative of courage and possibility, which essentially says: it’s not too late to achieve our Paris goals.
Juanita is a Chilean sociologist who has participated in several social projects focused on migration, poverty, climate and gender. She was Chief of Staff to the COP25 Champion and after that she managed the Race to Resilience Campaign, focused on fostering actions and investments to increase the resilience of vulnerable people and communities. Previously, she led the youth engagement agenda for COP25 and the Chilean Ministry of Environment. She worked with different stakeholders to improve youth participation at all levels.
