Lara brings a diverse career shaped by a deep commitment to social and environmental impact. She began her journey at Global Optimism as Executive Assistant to Tom Rivett-Carnac, and has since grown into the role of Operations Coordinator, supporting the organisation's expanding team.
Before joining Global Optimism, Lara was Programme Manager at a small international charity dedicated to supporting grassroots climate action. Earlier in her career, she held a senior role at a children's charity, where she worked to improve outcomes for marginalised communities. This experience, paired with her passion for sustainable food systems, led her to lead projects across Zimbabwe, India, and Nepal, where she focused on improving health and livelihoods among rural communities, with particular attention to young adults and community-driven, localised agriculture.
